Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using the Nexus Learning platform (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are a parent or guardian creating or managing an account on behalf of a minor student, you agree to these terms on that student's behalf.

2. Description of Service

Nexus Learning is a platform for coordinating 1-on-1 online tutoring, including timezone-accurate scheduling, session logging, and homework submission and review between students and teachers.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

Accounts are role-based (student, teacher, or admin) and are provisioned by Nexus Learning staff. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Student accounts for minors are set up and overseen with a parent or guardian's involvement.

4. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when setting up or updating an account.
• Use the Service only for its intended purpose of tutoring and related coordination.
• Only upload homework or other files you have the right to share, and do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
• Do not attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.

5. Scheduling & Sessions

Session times are coordinated across each participant's local timezone. Rescheduling, cancellation, and attendance policies are as communicated separately by Nexus Learning staff or a student's tutor.

6. Payments

Any fees for tutoring services are agreed separately with Nexus Learning and are not processed through this platform.

7. Intellectual Property

A student retains ownership of the homework and coursework they submit. Nexus Learning retains ownership of the platform itself, including its design, software, and branding.

8. Termination

Either you or Nexus Learning may end use of the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or is used in a way that risks harm to the Service or other users.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is.” While we work to keep it reliable and accurate, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Nexus Learning is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Nexus Learning's place of operation.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
